FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The 'Dons (12-26, 9-10 Horizon) step out of league play on Wednesday (April 27) to play the Michigan State Spartans (16-21, 3-9 Big Ten). The game is rescheduled from an earlier contest that was rained out.

Scouting the Spartans: The Spartans will play Notre Dame on Tuesday, prior to the game with the 'Dons on Wednesday. Michigan State lost 2-of-3 from Northwestern over the weekend. They won the final game 11-7 with Casey Mayes recording three hits and three RBIs with a solo home run.

On April 19 Ben Higgins was named the Horizon League Batter of the Week. He went 9-of-13 (.692 batting average) with a .750 on-base percentage, 1.154 slugging percentage and a 1.904 OPS. He had two home runs, six RBIs and three runs scored.
