Two Records Set at Jack Shaw Invitational

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Purdue Fort Wayne men's track & field student-athlete Brent Donaldson and the men's 4 by 100-meter relay team broke program records at the Jack Shaw Invitational on Saturday, April 30.
Donaldson's time of 55.27 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles beat out his previous record at 55.66 seconds, which he set back on April 2 at the WKU Hilltopper Relays.
The men's 4 by 100-meter relay team of Dona Fagnon, Luke Beehler, John Jackman and Donadlson's time of 42.24 seconds best the previous record of 42.62 seconds, which was set last week at the Gibson Invitational.
In field events, Cody Loshe finished second in the pole vault (4.15 meters). Luke Beehler was second in the long jump (6.91 meters). Cain Hohne (1.95 meters), Austin Dove (1.90 meters) and Lane Hawkins (1.85 meters) tied for first, fourth and sixth.
In sprint events, Joe Cartwright (23.33 seconds) and Nicolas Blair (23.77 seconds) took the top two spots in the 200-meter dash. Cartwright (50.41 seconds) and Blair (50.65 seconds) also finished second and third in the 400-meter dash. Fagnon (11.25 seconds), Donaldson (11.32 seconds) and Jackman (11.49 seconds) were second, third and fifth in the 100-meter dash
Carter Lewis Finished third in the shot put (12.08 meters), and sixth in the discus throw (37.86 meters).
The Mastodons will travel to Rochester, Mich. to compete in the Horizon League Outdoor Track & Field Championships from May 6-8.
