FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne men's volleyball team concludes Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association regular season play with a match against No. 7 Ball State on Saturday, April 9 (7 p.m.) at the Gates Sports Center on the Arnie Ball Court.

Thursday's match will be the 101st meeting between the Mastodons and the Cardinals. Ball State leads the series 77-33. The last time these two team met was on Feb. 17 in Muncie, Ind. when the Cardinals defeated the 'Dons in five sets.
The Cardinals enter Saturday's match with a 19-3 overall record and an 11-2 record in the MIVA. They are tied for first with Loyola Chicago. With a win, or a Loyola Chicago loss, the Cardinals clinch the MIVA regular season championship and will own the first seed in the MIVA tournament.
Offensively, Ball State is led by Kaleb Jenness. He leads in total kills (331), kills per set (4.46) and hits .386 for the season. To finish fourth, the 'Dons will need to beat Ball State on Saturday and have Ohio State and Lewis both lose on Saturday. The MIVA semifinals and finals will be held on April 20 and 23. The highest remaining seed from each round hosts the semifinals and finals.
