Men's Track Completes Day Two At Golden Grizzles Invitational

ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track & field team completed day two of the Golden Grizzles Invitational on Saturday, April 9.
Top results in sprint events included Braxton Trittipo (50.48 seconds) and Joe Cartwright (50.93 seconds) in the 400-meter dash. They finished second and third. Trittipo (23.27 seconds) and Cartwright (23.37 seconds) also finished fifth and sixth in the 200-meter dash. Dona Fagnon was second in the 100-meter dash finals (11.11 seconds).
In throwing events, Garrett Anglemeyer (13.97 meters), Carter Lewis (13.55 meters), Aaron Martin (13.48 meters) and Zyler Johnson (13.43 meters) finished second through fifth place in the shot put. Johnson (44.53 meters) and Martin (42.05 meters) also finished third and fourth in the discus throw. Johnson (45.11 meters) and Walden (43.63 meters) finished fifth and sixth in the hammer throw.
The men's 4 by 100-meter relay team of Fagnon, Trittpio, Nicolas Blair and Cartwright finished second (43.60 seconds).
Other top finishers included Cain Hohne. He was fifth in the high jump (1.85 meters). Kobe Milledge was fifth in the 800-meter run (2:00.10). Draven Thompson finished eighth in the 1,500 meter run (4:02.00).
The Mastodons will be back in action with multiple meets next week. The 'Dons will compete in the Monday Meet on April 11 at Indiana Tech. They will also compete at the Huntington Invitational on Thursday, April 14 and the Ball State outdoor Meet on Saturday, April 16.
