Party Time! Excellent! Men's Soccer Hosts Party at the Pitch

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons (1-2-2) dive back into non-league competition this Wednesday (Sep. 14) at 7 p.m. with the Western Michigan Broncos (3-1-0). It will be the annual Party at the Pitch extravaganza with food trucks and giveaways for students.

Series History: Western Michigan leads 15-3-5. The two teams tied last year in Kalamazoo 1-1. Keith Larson had the game tying goal on a penalty kick in the 55th minute.
About The Broncos:
Dylan Sing and Jaylen Shannon lead the Western Michigan offense. Sing and Shannon have combined for five goals this season. The Broncos have wins over Northwestern, Michigan State and Wisconsin this season.
Fresh Faces:
Freshmen Abe Arellano, Marco Valencia and Christian Leon have combined for eight starts on the season. Each started and saw more than 50 minutes of play on Saturday against Oakland. Arellano has an assist on the season.

This will be the third annual Party at the Pitch contest. Sponsored by the Student Activities Board, the first 200 students will receive free food vouchers for food trucks and free sunglasses. A beer tent for fans 21 and over as well as yard games will be available. The Mastodons are 3-0 all-time in Party at the Pitch games, with the women 2-0 and the men owning a 2-1 win over Belmont in 2019.
