FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Three Purdue Fort Wayne student-athletes were in action on Friday (Dec. 1) at the Mastodon Multi Invitational hosted at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse.
Senior Ramey Wilder, freshman Ellie Zagel and junior Aubrey Haas competed in the pentathlon against student-athletes from IUPUI and Huntington.
Ellie Zagel finished first (3004 points) while Wilder was fourth (2832) and Haas was sixth (2664).
Wilder and Zagel went 1-2 in the shot put. Wilder had a mark of 10.82 meters, while Zagel was at 10.70. Zagel was first in the long jump (5.10 meters) with Wilder earning third (4.90 meters). Wilder was second in the 60 hurdles (9.54) while Zagel earned number two in the high jump (1.47 meters).
The entire Mastodon team will compete on Saturday (Dec. 2) in the Mastodon Opener at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse.
