Records Fall For Men’s Track & Field at Bellarmine

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track and field team set three schools records on Friday (Feb. 3) at the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic.
Braxton Trittipo set a new mark in the 400 meters (48.74) to take third place while also running a leg in a school record breaking 4x400 performance (3:17.54). Trittipo was joined by Troy Golden, Brent Donaldson and Nicolas Blair to take third place in the relay
Harrison Niswander had the Mastodons' third record of the day. The freshman ran the mile in 4:17.30 for seventh place.
In other performances, Donaldson was fifth in the 60 hurdles (8.57). Cain Hohne took third in the high jump (2.00 meters) with Lane Hawkins earning fifth (1.90 meters). Luke Beehler earned fifth in the long jump (6.69 meters) as did Cody Loshe in the pole vault (4.15 meters).
The Mastodon men earned 41.5 points to take sixth. SEMO won the team title.
The 'Dons also had a handful of student-athletes at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational. JT Hodges was 30th in the 5000 (14:49.35) and Nicholas Mills was 31st (14:49.66).
The 'Dons are next in action Feb. 10 at Indiana's Hoosier Hills meet.
