‘Dons Earn Multiple Top Three Finishes at Miami's Blizzard Buster

OXFORD, Ohio – The Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field team saw their first action of the outdoor season on Friday (March 17) at the Blizzard Buster hosted by Miami (Ohio).
The Mastodons picked up a win in the 400 hurdles with Sophia Buck taking first (1:06.32). Dylan Kirkwood took fifth (1:07.36).
Kirkwood earned second in the 100 hurdles (14.62) with Buck (14.94) just two spots behind in fourth.
Louiza Kruiswijk earned the top spot in the long jump. She took first with a jump of 5.32 meters.
The 200 meters saw Madeline McClerren take fourth (26.34). Allyssa Hennessey was sixth in the high jump (1.40 meters). Brooke Neal led the 'Dons in the 1500 meters, earning eighth with a time of 4:45.93. Nakia Harris-Campbell finished in ninth place in the hammer (43.46 meters). She also took 12th in the shotput at 11.19 meters.
The 'Dons sent some throwers to a meet hosted by High Point. At that meet Lia Rivers led the 'Dons in the hammer with a 10th place performance (50.78 meters).
High Point's meet continues on Saturday.
