FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Mastodon track and field squads will head to the Tennessee Invitational and Indiana Tech's Warrior Open this week.

A Few Things To Know
- Only the hammer throw will be contested on Thursday. Asher Walden and Zyler Johnson will compete for the men. Lia Rivers and Ali Sparks will compete for the women. It will start at 5 p.m. ET.
- Andrew Whitinger set a school record at WashU in the 10000 meters with a time of 29:50.68. Whitinger will be competing in the 5000 meters at the Tennessee Invite.
- Brooke Neal was named Horizon League Track and Field Runner of the Week (April 4) for her career best in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:03.48. Neal will be competing in the 800 meters and 5000 meters this week.
- Marissa Van De Weg placed third in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:06.51 at the most recent Indiana State Invite. Coming up, Van De Weg will be competing in the 400 hurdles as well at the 4 x 400 meters.

- Brevin Miller had a fourth place performance in both the shot put (14.70 meters) and the javelin (45.62 meters) in the most recent Indiana State Invite. Miller will compete in both the shot put and the discus at Indiana Tech.
- After adding the meet at Indiana State after the Redbird Challenge at Illinois State was canceled due to weather, the men's team took home second place while the women's team took home third place.
- In the field events, Miranda Haney took third (1.60 meters) in the high jump at the Indiana State Invite, which Haney will also be competing in at Indiana Tech.
