Zagel Third in Heptathlon After Friday Events

MUNCIE, Ind./LEWISBURG, Pa. – Ellie Zagel ended Friday (April 12) in third place of the heptathlon at the Bison Outdoor Classic for the Mastodon women's track and field team.
Zagel is third in the heptathlon through the first four events with 2742 points. She was third in the high jump and shot put and has been top 5 in all four events. Sophia Buck is in fifth with 2532 points. Her best finish was third in the 100 meter hurdles.
Purdue Fort Wayne also had athletes at the We Fly Track Challenge in Muncie, Indiana. Kelsey Shatava finished eighth in the high jump clearing a 1.50m bar. Emery Carrico led the team in the discus with a throw measuring 36.35.
The 'Dons will continue competition at both meets on Saturday (April 13).
