Mastodon Softball Visits Akron For Midweek Game

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Just two days removed from their series victory over IUPUI, the Purdue Fort Wayne softball team will be taking on Akron in a midweek contest on Tuesday (April 16). This game was rescheduled from a postponement earlier this season.

Akron is 18-23 and 7-8 in the MAC. The Zips are on a three-game losing streak after being swept by Miami (OH). Meagan Lee is the biggest slapping threat for the Zips, as she is batting .399 with just one extra base hit. Sophia Wygast has eight home runs and four doubles this season, slugging .532 for the year. Macy Walters, Haley Croyle and Cailey Joyce have split the pitching duties relatively evenly.
