FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's volleyball team will host Thomas More (March 7) and Maryville (March 11) over spring break.

Know Your Foe
• Thomas More is 4-4 to start the season. The Saints swept Central State earlier this season. Ben Albers leads Thomas More in kills per set with 2.60. Noah Smith-Trondle has been the Saints' leading setter, averaging 6.96 assists per set on the season.
• Maryville has started their season 7-7, dropping all five matches against MIVA opponents: Lewis, Loyola Chicago, Ball State, McKendree and Lindenwood. The Saints beat Central State in four sets earlier in the season. Luke Kraft is the leading hitter for Maryville, averaging 3.83 kills per set on a .309 percent. Saints' Ethan BeyreisHeim has started every match as the setter, ranking 11th in the nation in assists per set (10.07).

• Purdue Fort Wayne is an undefeated 7-0 against Thomas More in their series history. Andrej Polomac finished the match with 31 assists and five digs in last season's meeting.
• The 'Dons have won all three matches against Maryville. In the meeting last year, Andrej Polomac finished one dig shy of a double-double (36a, 9d) and Axel Melendez Watts had nine kills.

JP Candrian earned his first MIVA Player of the Week award, earning Defensive Player of the Week (Jan. 28). Candrian led the Mastodons to a 2-0 week, beating both LIU (Jan. 23) and Lees-McRae (Jan. 25) on the Arnie Ball Court. The freshman averaged 2.67 digs during the stretch, collecting 16 in the five-set victory over LIU. The Florida native added 0.67 blocks per set to his weekly totals.
Last Time Out
Purdue Fort Wayne dropped their last two matches. Lindenwood won in four sets over the 'Dons (Feb. 28) and No. 16 Ohio State held on to beat the Mastodons in five (March 1). Logan Muir finished with 20 kills in each match.
Coming Up
The 'Dons will host No. 9 Loyola Chicago on March 14th. The Mastodons will be honoring Hector Soto by retiring his jersey prior to the match.
