FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne men's soccer team opens Horizon League play at IU Indy on Saturday (Sept. 12). Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. in Indianapolis, Ind.

Know Your Foe
The Jaguars have started the season 3-2, with wins against Lindenwood, Bowling Green and Southern Indiana. IU Indy opened league play with a 2-0 loss at Northern Illinois on Wednesday (Sept. 9). The Jaguars have scored four goals on 44 shots, while allowing four goals and recording 25 saves. IU Indy returns six starters from a season ago, including 2025 Third Team All-Horizon League honoree Jose Antonio Herrera.

Last Time Out
Purdue Fort Wayne men's soccer team wrapped up its non-league slate with a 5-0 victory over Defiance at the Hefner Soccer Complex on Wednesday (Sept. 9). The Mastodons finally broke the nil-nil stymie with a goal in the 22nd minute when Daven Arias found the net. Purdue Fort Wayne's next two goals came by penalty kicks. Brandon Razo converted in the 42nd minute for his third goal in as many games. Then Jackson Liley scored in the 53rd minute for his second goal in the last two games. Liley scored again in minute 83 before he put the capper on his match with another goal with 13 seconds remaining.

Three for Liley
With his three goals against the Yellow Jackets on Wednesday, Liley became the first 'Don since the 2024 season to record a hat trick.

Between the Posts
The Mastodons have recorded back-to-back shutouts at Hefner Soccer Complex, with Sep Habibi, David Valencia and Tegan Gumbs split duties between the sticks for the Mastodons to earn the shutout against Defiance. Habibi and Gumbs combined for the shutout against Manchester on Sept. 3.

Poll
Purdue Fort Wayne was picked to finish fourth in the 2026 Horizon League Preseason Poll. The 'Dons were edged by Cleveland State (111), Green Bay (95) and league-newcomer Northern Illinois (92). IU Indy was picked to finish eighth in this year's poll.
