2009 Season
Scott Micinski played in 21 games for IPFW, starting 19. He hit .279 with one home run and five RBI. Micinski also pitched for the Mastodons in 2009. He made 16 appearances and posted a record of 1-5 with an ERA of 8.66. In 35.1 innings of work, Micinski struck out 23 batters. Scored two runs vs. Western Illinois on May 2. Hit his lone round-tripper at Centenary on Apr. 24. Saved IPFW[quote]s8-3 win vs. Toledo on Mar. 18, striking out a season-high five. Was the winner in IPFW[apos]s 22-19 marathon vs. Purdue at Mastodons Field on April 1. Pitched a season-high 6.0 innings vs. Western Illinois on May 2.
2008 Season
Micinski appreared in 29 of IPFW[apos]s 51 games in the [apos]08 season, starting 25. He posted the third highest batting average on the team at .298. He drove in nine runs and had four extra base hits. Was a perfect 1-1 in stolen base attempts. Scored a season high three runs at Southern Utah (Apr. 3). Had a season high four hits in IPFW[apos]s 5-2 win over South Dakota State on May 9. Had a pair of doubles on two occasions, Apr. 5 at Southern Utah and Apr. 16 at Western Michigan. Stole his only base on May 16 vs. Oral Roberts. Had a season high four putouts vs. Centenary College on April 26. Had a season high five assists on March 29 vs. Goshen and April 13 at Western Illinois. Also made two appearances on the mound for IPFW in 2008. Tossed a complete inning vs. Eastern Kentucky on March 9 and one-third of an inning vs. Vermont on March 12.
2007 Season
Micinski was a dual player who made 7 relief appearances, while posting a .317 batting average in 22 at bats. Scott was hampered by elbow problems in 2007 that affected his hitting and pitching. Scott looks to make more of an impact on the mound and at the plate in 2008 for the Mastodons
High School
Micinski pitched and played infield for Mishawaka Marion. He was named 1st Team All-NIC and graduated with honors. He also played infield for the Sportsfest Metro Team.
Personal
Scott is the son of Russell and Bobbie Micinski, and has one sibling, Casey. Scott is currently a OLS major at IPFW.
