Fort Wayne, IN - After beginning the season with four straight road games, the IPFW men's basketball team will open up the home portion of their 2010-11 schedule on Saturday afternoon, hosting Judson University.

Redshirt sophomore Frank Gaines leads the Mastodons in scoring at 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds a game. Senior guards Zach Plackemeier and Ben Botts are each averaging 12.3 points a game.
WHAT 2 WATCH 4
For the first time in program history, the Mastodons have appeared on the Collegeinsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 as receiving votes. IPFW got 30 points. Three other Summit League teams grace the Top 25. IPFW has been tough on teams trying to shoot the 3-pointer. The Mastodons are allowing opponents to connect on just 21.4 percent of their attempts from behind the arc.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Judson is led in scoring by a trio of guards. Landon Skinner leads he way at 17.0 points a game. He is followed by Deon Thomas and Luke Labedzki at 13.8 and 11.7 points, respectively. Thomas is the reigning CCAC Player of the Week after a career-high of 29 points against #17 Grace College.

Judson is averaging 81.6 points a game, but is giving up an average of 91.8 points a game to their opponents. The Eagles, like the Mastodons, are not afraid to launch the ball from 3-point land. Judson averages 7.9 triples a game. (IPFW - 8.0). Judson is assisted by former IPFW assistant coach Joel Cotton.
