Summit League Tournament Begins with South Dakota State

Sioux Falls, SD - The IPFW men's basketball team begins its drive for the NCAA Tournament as the Mastodons face the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in the Quarterfinals of The Summit League Tournament at the Sioux Falls Arena.
IPFW goes in as the No. 4 seed but faces a tough opponent in No. 5 SDSU. The Jackrabbits swept the regular season series between the two teams.

The Mastodons are led in scoring by sophomore guard Frank Gaines (6-5/190/Ft. Lauderdale, FL) who is averaging 14.6 points a game. Senior guard Ben Botts (6-0/170/Muncie, IN) is second on the team at 13.6 points a game, and senior guard Zach Plackemeier (6-3/190/St. Charles, MO) rounds out the top-three scorers for the 'Dons at 10.3 points a contest.

Sioux City, NE) is second on the team in scoring at 15.3 points a contest, while freshman forward Jordan Dykstra (6-8/225/Rock Valley, IA) rounds out the top-three scorers for the Jacks at 11.1 points a game.
