
Men's Tennis Ends ITA Regional Championships

Doubles Draw
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The IPFW men's tennis team has been eliminated from the 2012 USTA/ITA Regional Championships as the doubles team of Daniel Kang and Joao Freitas were defeated in the second round by Michigan State 8-5.
The doubles draw kicked off on Friday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. and the duo of Kang and Freitas quickly advanced to the next round by defeating Cheung and Brown of Detroit 8-2. Saturday's match didn't go in favor of IPFW however as the duo of Bogatov and Jadun of Michigan State knocked off the Mastodons 8-5.
Michigan State was eliminated in the following round by the team of Talmadge and Andrew who represent Notre Dame. Talmadge and Andrew will face off against Gosea and Kopinski of Illinois in the championship match on Monday, Oct. 22.
