IPFW, at 7-2 in league play, is tied for second in the league standings with Western Illinois, while Southern Utah is in fourth place at 6-3.
ALL TIME SERIES
North Dakota State holds a 10-6 advantage in the all-time series between the two teams. The last time the two teams met in Fargo for a regular season series, the Mastodons swept the Bison 9-3, 4-3, and 2-1, before falling to NDSU later that season in the first round of the Summit League Tournament. Last season NDSU won the season series 2-1 in Fort Wayne, before knocking IPFW into the play-back bracket of the Summit League tournament with a first-round win in Macomb.

FAST START
IPFW's 24-7 record through 31 games of the season is the best mark through 31 games in program history, and are the third-most single-season wins in school history, with 24 games remaining on the schedule. Only the 29 wins from 2010 and the 28 from 2011 are higher than this seasons' total.

The 11 also stand as the ninth most in Summit League single-season history. The Summit League single-season record is 27 held by Julie Owen of Oakland from 2009. Bousquet has twice been hit by pitch multiple times in a game, including three times against Oakland on March 17.
