Mastodons Drop Wright State 7-0

Final Results
SPRINGBORO, Ohio – The IPFW women's tennis team defeated Wright State on Sunday afternoon 7-0. The Mastodons are now 3-3 overall.
“We played excellent tennis today and we were very good on pressure points,” Head Coach Eric Burns explained. “Wright State played very well in the singles, but we did a great job of fighting and keeping our composure. This was a great win for us.”
IPFW won all three matches in doubles competition. Anita Henestrosa and Caterina Kiefer won in No. 1 Doubles 8-1 and the team of Marcy Huck and Kristine Lindal also recorded an 8-1 win in No. 3 Doubles.
Miloslava Shustova and Theresa Neumeyr made it a clean sweep with an 8-3 win over Taylor Hines and Amy Nini in No. 2 Doubles.
IPFW won all six matches in singles play. Henestrosa made a comeback to win No. 1 Singles 2-6, 7-5, 10-5 and Lindal also battled back in No. 2 Singles 1-6, 7-5, 10-5.
Kiefer defeated Nini 6-4, 6-4 in No. 3 Singles and Huck took down Hines 7-5, 6-4. Rounding out the action on Sunday was Shustova defeating Girgash 6-1, 6-1 in No. 5 Singles and Neumeyr winnings 6-2, 6-1 in No. 6 Singles.
