Women’s Tennis Extends Winning Streak

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The IPFW women's tennis team improved to 14-7 overall and 3-0 in Summit League action with a 5-2 win over Omaha today in the Kansas City cluster.
IPFW went 3-0 in doubles competition winning all three matches in order. Anita Henestrosa and Caterina Kiefer took No. 1 Doubles 8-2 and the duo of Kristine Lindal and Marcy Huck also won 8-2 in No. 3 Doubles. Miloslava Shustova and Theresa Neumeyr defeated their opponents 8-2 in No. 2 Doubles.
Kiefer and Henestrosa gave IPFW the early advantage in singles play as Kiefer won No. 3 Singles 6-0, 6-3 and Henestrosa came up with a 6-1, 6-1 win in No. 1 Singles.
Neumeyr and Huck each recorded wins to give IPFW the overall victory. Neumeyr took No. 5 Singles 6-1, 6-2 and Huck won No. 6 Singles 6-1, 6-2.
