Mastodons End Regular Season with 7-0 Win over Northern Kentucky

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The IPFW women's tennis team ended the regular season with a 21-7 record by defeating Northern Kentucky 7-0 on Sunday afternoon. The regular season Summit League Champions will be off next week as they prepare for the 2013 Tournament set for April 26-27.

IPFW moved players around in the lineup and won the doubles point with an 8-3 win from Miloslava Shustova and Theresa Neumeyr in No. 1 Doubles, followed by an 8-5 win in No. 2 Doubles by Kristine Lindal and Marcy Huck.

The Mastodons won the third doubles match by default and also took the No. 6 Singles match by default.

Anita Henestrosa remained at the top spot for IPFW as she cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 Singles. Sonya Sorokina and Neumeyr also won easily picking up a 6-1, 6-2 win followed by a 6-1, 6-4 victory.

Rounding out the effort was Marcy Huck at No. 4 Singles with a 6-3, 6-3 win and Shustova at No. 2 with a 6-3, 7-5 victory.
