Mastodon Pair to Compete at NCAA East Preliminary Meet

GREENSBORO, N.C. - IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff will compete in the NCAA East Preliminary Meet hosted by UNC Greensboro and North Carolina A&T.
The pair will compete on Saturday, with the javelin competing at noon, while the shot put will be conducted at 5:30 p.m.
McHugh stands with the 33rd best toss in the javelin, and has the top throw (45.82 meters) and was four centimeters from making the second preliminary. Her 16-person preliminary includes athletes from Penn State, LSU, Villanova, and Cornell.
In the shot put, Dincoff is in the second of four preliminaries, as the top 16 will advance to the finals. She has a season-best throw of 15.09 meters, the 34th best throw this season in the East region. On the competitors in her preliminary include throwers from Alabama, Louisville, Notre Dame, Penn State, Florida State, Cincinnati, and Maryland.
