Competing at the Billy Hayes Invitational, the IPFW Mastodon track & field team closed out the pre-Summit League Championship with a pair of school-record performances, and two first-place finishes.
Rachel Dincoff picked up both a school record and first-place finish in the shot put, where she became the first thrower in school history to eclipse 15 meters with a throw of 15.09 meters, 49-feet, 6.25-inches, breaking her own school record.
Theresa McHugh picked up the team's other first place finish with a toss of 143-2 (43.65 meters), the second-best javelin throw in program history, as McHugh has each of the 10 best throws in school history, and five of the top six this season.
The second school record came in the discus throw when Kayla Zink topped the mark she put up two weeks ago at Purdue, this time with a toss of 158-2 (48.21 meters), placing second and giving the sophomore the two best throws in school history. Dincoff took 11th in the field with a toss of 123-7 (37.68 meters).
In the hammer throw, Porter narrowly missed her own personal-best with a toss of 153-4 (46.73 meters), placing 9th, with Zink taking 14th with a toss of 136-11 (41.74 meters).
