Women's Tennis to Open Season at Toledo Rocket Invitational

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW women's tennis team will open the defense of its 2013 Summit League regular season and tournament titles, as the squad will compete in the Toledo Rocket Invitational.

When: Friday, September 13 and Saturday, September 14
Where: Toledo, Ohio
ABOUT THE MASTODONS
The Mastodons open the 2013-14 season at Toledo, as the team will look to repeat its performance and will be led by senior Miloslava Shustova, the team's only senior, while March Huck also returns as the team's only junior. The young IPFW squad also returns Kristine Lindal, Sofia Sorokina, and Carlota Trevino, while Ella Norgren and Mayu Sato come in as newcomers.
ABOUT THE INVITATIONAL
The Rocket Invitational is played as a hidden dual format, with matches scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Each player or duo that wins a best-of-three match will earn a point for their team. Flight winners will be recognized at all six singles positions, and all three doubles positions. The other schools competing in the event are Toledo, Detroit, Duquesne, and Bowling Green.
