
Women's Tennis Makes Rare Road Appearance Over Weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - After a season-opening schedule that saw eight of the team's first 11 matches at home, the IPFW women's tennis team hits the road to face off against Robert Morris and Youngstown State on Saturday.
SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
IPFW, at 5-6 on the spring season, will look to carry the team's momentum gained from its recent 7-0 win over Indiana Tech last Sunday.
Freshman Mayu Sato is 16-7 in singles matches this season, including a 10-1 mark at No. 1 singles for the Mastodons. Miloslava Shustova is 12-12 in singles - 7-3 at No. 4 - while Sofia Sorokina is 10-13 overall.
The doubles pair of Marcy Huck and Sato are 8-2 this season at No. 1 pairs, while Shustova and Emily Richardson are 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.

Robert Morris is 1-5 this season, with the team's only win coming via 5-2 win over Slippery Rock in the fall.
In singles action, the Colonels are a combined 15-of-39, as the team has three players - Marie-Sophie Heine, Alina Schibol, and Dounia Zinbi - with three wins apiece.
Leading the doubles is the pair of Carolina Teixeira and Zinba, as the duo is 4-3 on the year, while Heine and Larissa Kiyoku is 4-5.

Annina Brendel and Marta Burak each have 11 wins on the year, while Margarita Sadovnikova has 10. Overall, the Penguins are 53-28 in singles matches, a 65.4 winning percentage; however, the squad is just 26-22 in singles action during the spring.
Burak and Sadovnikova are 10-6 as a doubles pair, including going 3-4 at No. 1 pairs.
