
Women's Tennis Closes Road Swing in Green Bay

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW women's tennis team closes the door on its six-match road swing on Saturday when the team travels to Green Bay, Wis. to face off against the Phoenix in a 12:30 p.m. start.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
IPFW has spent the entire month of March without a home match, with the team's next home event coming on April 4 against South Dakota State.
In the team's last match, a 7-0 win over Butler, the Mastodons took two of three matches in doubles, before sweeping the Bulldogs in all six singles matches, despite needing three sets in half of those.
This year the team has been led by Mayu Sato, who is 20-8 on the year, including 14-2 in the dual meet season - all at No. 1 singles. Miloslava Shustova is 17-12 on the year, and is 12-3 at No. 4 singles, with Carlota Trevino standing at 7-4 at No. 6 singles. Leading the doubles groupings is Sato and Marcy Huck who are 11-3 in the dual meet season at No. 1, while Trevino and Ella Norgren are 7-4 at No. 3 doubles.

Green Bay, which hosts South Dakota on Friday, are looking for its first win on the season, and stand at 0-6 with losses to South Dakota State, Cardinal Stritch, Milwaukee, Chicago State, Detroit, and Oakland.
The team has taken just three individual matches on the season, with one win coming from Stephanie Londre (No. 1), Claudia Negron (No. 2), and Rachael Menos (No. 6). The team is still looking for its first doubles win of the season, going 0-18 overall in the spring in doubles action.
