Brock Logan (.444) and Evan VanSumeren (.438) each hit over .400 on the year, with VanSumeren leading the team with seven runs scored. Kendall Whitman and VanSumeren are both tied with Trevino for the team lead in RBI's after the season's first weekend.
The pitching staff was paced by freshman Evan Miller, who struck out six in 4.2 innings of work, allowing the Bulldogs to hit just .176 off of him in picking up the victory in the seven-inning game. Reliever Jake Weber struck out five in 3.1 innings of work, as IPFW struck out 22 batters over the weekend.
