
Men's Tennis Hosts Two in Three-Match Weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW men's tennis team will host two over a three-match weekend, with the lone road match being a recent addition against 36th ranked Notre Dame on Sunday afternoon, after hosting Toledo on Friday evening and Cleveland State on Sunday morning.
SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
IPFW comes into the weekend after seeing its three-match win streak snapped on the road at IUPUI by a 5-2 score to open Summit League play.
The Mastodons are 89-82 overall in singles during the season, including an 18-5 record from sophomore Karl Wangensten-Oye, who is 5-0 at No. 5 singles and 4-3 at No. 6 during the spring. Two others - Daniel Cardenas and Andres Cobos - are each 13-12 in singles play, Cardenas 3-1 at No. 4 singles, while Cobos is 4-4 at No. 2 and 4-1 at No. 3 singles.
In doubles, the No. 2 doubles pair of Cardenas and Cobos are 9-1 during the spring and 12-6 overall. Martin Muadi has a 12-10 doubles record during the year, while Martin Muadi is 12-10 in doubles matches.

Toledo comes into the match with a 9-10 overall record after snapping a four-match losing skid with a 6-1 win at Morehead State on March 8.
The team has been led by No. 1 player Stjepan Sisko, who is 13-2 overall in the spring this season. Mark Singnil is 9-7 overall in the spring season, playing primarily at No. 2 singles, where he is 6-7.
The Rockets have used 13 different doubles combinations this season, including three at No. 1, six at No. 2, and eight at No. 3. Omar Espinosa and Sisko are 6-4 at No. 1 pairs, as the Rockets are 10-6 overall at No. 1 this spring. No. 2 (6-10) and No. 3 (5-11) doubles sit under .500 on he year.

Cleveland State comes into the match with a 6-5 overall record with a win over Hawai'i Pacific to end their trip to the Hawaiian islands with a 1-2 overall record.
Manuel Bellutti and Joe VanMeter each have 14 wins on the season for the Vikings, as VanMeter is 7-3 at No. 1 singles, while Belutti has a 6-3 record at No. 4 singles. Jorg van der Vloet has an 11-9 record in singles, including going 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
In doubles Ali Shabib and Nolan Marks have combined for a 4-2 record at No. 1 doubles this season, while Bellutti and Mirko Radosevic are 6-4 at No. 2 pairs.

Notre Dame has two nationally ranked doubles pairs, with the squad of Alex Lawson and Pecor ranking eighth in the country, as Eddy Covalschi and Josh Hagar ranking 14th overall.
