FORT WAYNE, Ind. - After a five-game road swing, the IPFW softball team returned to its home field for a three-game series with Summit League leader North Dakota State April 18-19.

North Dakota State enters the weekend receiving six votes toward the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 poll released April 14 and receiving a vote in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25. NDSU is coming off a series sweep of South Dakota State, including two by the mercy rule. They defeated SDSU by scores of 8-4, 11-3, and 9-0. Bison pitcher Krista Menke was named Summit League Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week. She tossed two complete-game one-hitters in two starts against SDSU. On Sunday, she took a perfect game into the fifth inning before giving up a one-out single en route to a 9-0 victory. The senior right-hander struck out 14 Jackrabbits in Saturday's win.
