FORT WAYNE, Ind. - In a series that has been changed due to inclimate weather, IPFW hosts Oral Roberts in the final home weekend of the season for the Mastodons.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
IPFW is looking to snap out of a current four-game losing skid in which the team has been out-scored by a total of five runs.
Greg Kaiser, who was recently named to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team, leads the team with a .375 batting average - third highest in the Summit League - while leading the League and tops among all NCAA Division I shortstops with a .663 slugging percentage. He has a Summit League-best eight home runs, and is tied for the Summit League lead with four triples. Shane Trevino has a team-best 46 RBI's and is hitting .318, while Evan VanSumeren hits .317 and Brandon Soat .306 to go with a team-best 45 runs, and 16 doubles.
The pitching staff is paced by freshman Evan Miller who has a 3.82 ERA to go with a 5-3 overall record, and a Summit League-best 81 strikeouts, the second highest total by any NCAA Division I freshman pitcher this season. Trevor Storie and Ryan Wells have identical 4-5 records while Wells leads the pair with 62 strikeouts in 61 innings. Jake Weber has the Summit League lead with nine saves, as he has struck out 40 batters in 36 innings and has a 3-2 record.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Oral Roberts comes into the weekend riding a four-game win streak with a series sweep of the Omaha Mavericks a weekend prior.
Offensively the Golden Eagles have 10 players who have played in at least 15 games that are batting .300 or better, led by Matt Whatley, who is hitting .350 with a team-best 43 runs scored. Anthony Sequeira leads the team with seven home runs and 44 RBI's while hitting .337 for the year. Matt Brandy, the only player to have played and started in all 45 games for Oral Roberts this season, is batting .322 with five home runs and 36 RBI's.
The pitching staff is led by Xavier Altamirano, who is 6-2 on the season with a 3.18 ERA, while also leading the team with 66 strikeouts in 70.2 innings of work.
