Personal Best by Sippel leads the Way

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The IPFW women's cross country team finished ninth out of 13 teams at the Mountain Dew Gator Invitational finishing ahead of Troy, Stetson, Florida State, and Florida International.
Freshman Rebecca Sippel led the way for the Mastodons with a personal best time of 18:37.41 placing her in the 22nd out of 132 runners. Emma Rafuse also with a personal best time of 18:56.86 over the 5,000 meters finishing in 31st.
Rachel Kacer finished with a time of 19:37.27 placing her in 59th, while Breanna Fensler came in 68th with a personal best time of 20:00.71. Caitlyn Kiekhaefer posted the final scoring number for IPFW and a personal best with a time of 20:21.36 finishing in 85th. Andrea Bell and Taylor Busch also competed for the Mastodons in this event. Bell finished 109th while Busch finished in 130th, Bell had a time of 21:10.96 and Busch a time of 23:05.36, respectively.
The team is back in action October 3 when they travel to Louisville, Kentucky in the Greater Louisville Classic.
