
IPFW Plays Four-Game Weekend Series At Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – IPFW will play its second four-game series of 2016 at Little Rock of the Sun Belt Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas this weekend, February 26-28. The Mastodons of eighth-year head coach Bobby Pierce enter the series with a record of 3-1 after last weekend's season-opening action at Alabama A&M. IPFW and the host Trojans (2-1) are scheduled to play a single game Friday at 4 p.m., a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. and a single game Sunday at 2 p.m.

IPFW will utilize the same starting pitching rotation as last week with Miller, Ley, Storie and Helm. Miller (0-0, 5.79 ERA, 6K) tossed 4.2 innings last weekend at A&M, scattering four hits and five runs, three earned, with six strikeouts and three walks. Ley (0-0, 5.40 ERA, 5K) tossed 5.0 innings, allowing seven hits and three earned runs with five strikeouts and one walk. Storie (1-0, 1.50 ERA, 8K) tossed 6.0 innings, yielding just three hits and one earned run with eight strikeouts and four walks. Helm (0-1, 15.00 ERA, 2K) tossed 3.0 innings, scattering four hits and six runs, five earned, with two strikeouts and four walks.
