IPFW To Play Three-Game Weekend Series At Ohio

ATHENS, Ohio – IPFW is scheduled to play a three-game series at Ohio University of the Mid-American Conference in Athens, Ohio this weekend, March 11-13. The Mastodons of eighth-year head coach Bobby Pierce enter the non-conference series with a record of 8-5. Originally scheduled as a four-game series, expected weather in Southeastern Ohio this weekend has modified the schedule. IPFW and the host Bobcats (5-7) are now scheduled to play single games Friday at 4 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

PITCHING
Projected Rotation: Evan Miller (So., RHP), Trevor Storie (Sr., RHP), Mitchell Ley (Jr., LHP)

IPFW is expected to go with a starting pitching rotation of Miller, Storie and Ley, respectively. Miller is 1-0 with a 3.78 ERA and 15 strikeouts (8.10) through three appearances/starts and 16.2 innings pitched with 12 walks. Storie is 2-1 with a 3.63 ERA and 21 strikeouts (10.91) through three appearances/starts and 17.1 innings pitched with nine walks. Ley is 0-0 with a 3.94 ERA and 10 strikeouts (5.63) through three appearances/starts and 16.0 innings pitched with six walks.
