Softball Opens Summit League Play Against South Dakota

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW softball team looks to finally kick off its home schedule when the Mastodons begin Summit League play with a three-game series against South Dakota March 25 and 26.
When: Friday, March 25 DH | 1 p.m.; Saturday, March 26 | 11 a.m.

South Dakota enters Summit League play with a 4-23 overall record, but has won two of its last four games. Most recently, USD fell to a familiar foe of the Mastodons, Bowling Green, 5-2. The 'Dons and Coyotes also have a similar opponent in Northern Kentucky (USD lost 7-0 while IPFW won 8-0 and lost 9-4). South Dakota has played six games against nationally ranked opponents (Florida - twice, UCF, Kentucky, California, and Washington).
