Scouting the Crusaders
Valparaiso is coming off a weekend series with Detroit, where it dropped two of three to the Titans. Saturday afternoon, the Crusaders scored in each of the final four innings of its series finale to earn a 9-1 run-rule victory over the Titans in five innings. The Crusaders' attempt at a seventh-inning stunning rally in the opener brought the potential winning run to the plate, but Detroit ended up with a 9-6 victory as the two squads split the doubleheader. They also dropped the series opener against Detroit at home on Friday afternoon, 9-2.
