
IPFW Welcomes Omaha For Three-Game Summit League Series

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- IPFW will welcome the University of Nebraska Omaha for a three-game Summit League home baseball series Friday and Saturday, April 29-30, at Mastodon Field in Fort Wayne.

The Mastodons of eighth-year head coach Bobby Pierce enter the league series with a record of 20-21 overall, 5-13 in the Summit League, including seven wins in their last nine games overall. The visiting Mavericks are 20-20 overall, 10-8 in the Summit League, including three wins in their last four games overall.

The two teams will open the series with a doubleheader on Friday, April 29, at 12 p.m., followed by a single game on Saturday, April 30, tentatively scheduled at 3 p.m.; however, weather conditions could cause an earlier start time for the series finale … that information will be announced as it occurs.
