In the third, the 'Dons got a leadoff single up the middle from Boyce (3-4, RBI), who then stole second. With one out, Kendall Whitman (1-4, RBI) brought home Boyce on a single to center. Two pitches later, Kaiser connected on his 15th home run of the season, second most in an IPFW season, a two-run shot down the left field line.

Valenzuela-Reece followed with a single through the right side and Shannon Baker (0-2) drew a walk to load the bases.
