Softball Prepares for Four Games in Georgia

MACON, Ga. - The Fort Wayne softball team continues its road adventures when the Mastodons head south to The Peach State for the Black & Orange Challenge February 25 and 26. The Mastodons face Marist and host Mercer over the course of four games in two days.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
The Mastodons are coming off the Black & Gold Tournament where they dropped four games. The squad dropped two close games to Akron, including a 1-0 game where the only run was unearned. Kelly Pevely led the team hitting .364, including the team's first home run of the season. Lauren Watson, Jenna Balthazor and Amber Davis all collected three hits on the weekend. Three different players drove in multiple runs.

In the circle, Elizabeth Snodgrass pitched a complete game in a 1-0 loss to Akron. She allowed an unearned run and scattered six hits in the game. For the weekend, she led the 'Dons with a 2.42 ERA.
