Scouting the Mastodons (3-12, 0-0 Summit): The Mastodons head to Macomb to start 2017 Summit League conference play, where they will face Western Illinois. After dropping games at Butler last weekend, Fort Wayne looks to bounce back against their first conference opponent of the season. Jake Weber is leading the 'Dons with a .404 batting average, 23 hits and 10 RBI. On the mound, Brandon Phelps leads the squad with a 3.07 ERA, allowing just five earned runs in 14.2 innings pitched.
Scouting the Fighting Leathernecks (1-13, 0-0 Summit): Western Illinois welcomes Fort Wayne for their first home series of the 2017 season.
