Scouting the Boildermakers
Purdue is coming off a three-game weekend series sweep of Michigan State on opening weekend of Big Ten Conference play. Lexi Huffman hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to give them a 4-3 walkoff. On Friday, the opener appealed to the offensive minded as Purdue won 13-6, while the nightcap saw a 2-1 Boilermaker walkoff. Purdue has won 10 of its last 15 games after beginning the season 3-16.
