Scouting the Mastodons (5-17, 1-5 Summit): After taking a non-conference contest against Goshen College on Tuesday, the Mastodons return to league play this weekend. Against Goshen, shortstop Jackson Boyce went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and three walks, including a two-RBI triple. Duane Miller earned his first win on the season, tossing a scoreless fourth inning. Brandon Phelps continues to lead pitchers with a 3.54 ERA and two saves.
Scouting the Jackrabbits (10-10, 3-3 Summit): The Jackrabbits enter the weekend at .500 in the Summit League. SDSU has their first home game of the season on Wednesday when they defeated Dakota Wesleyan 1-0. Philip Jacobsen leads the squad with a .341 batting average, while Nick Smith has 30 hits in 89 at bats. On the mound, Chris Halbur has maintained a 0.00 ERA, giving up only three hits in 12.0 innings of work in nine appearances.

The Butler Bulldogs will come to Fort Wayne to finish off the five-game stand on April 11.
