BROOKINGS, S.D. - The Fort Wayne softball team goes on the road for Summit League play when the Mastodons travel to South Dakota State for a weekend series beginning April 15.

South Dakota State dropped a midweek doubleheader to UMKC 6-3 and 3-2. The Jacks are 1-5 in the Summit League, having been swept by IUPUI before picking up a win in their series against South Dakota 10-3. Fort Wayne and SDSU have several common opponents on the season in Toledo, SIUE, Western Michigan, St. Bonaventure and Villanova. The 'Dons are 1-4 against common opponents while the Jacks are 5-2.
