Scoring Flurry Lifts ‘Dons To 4-2 Exhibition Win Over Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Thanks to a 22-7 edge in shots, Fort Wayne men's soccer defeated Indiana Tech on Monday (August 14) at the Hefner Soccer Complex in an exhibition contest.
The Mastodons tied the game with a goal in the 12th minute on a score by Romain Lopez. He headed in his shot off a pass from Matthew Lieshout.
Lopez then put the 'Dons up 2-1 with a goal in the 26th minute. It was assisted by Lieshout. It started a flurry of Fort Wayne goals as the 'Dons put two in the back of the net in the 29th minute. Edel Ensaldo Bustos scored, assisted by Will Hunt. Then Lieshout tallied a goal, assisted by Zach Tom and Hunt, just seconds later.
Indiana Tech closed the scoring with the second half's only goal to make the final 4-2.
The 'Dons return to action on Friday in an exhibition against Valparaiso in a 7 p.m. start at Hefner.
