The Fort Wayne men's soccer team closes their exhibition season with a home contest against Valparaiso on Friday (Aug. 18). The 'Dons won over Indiana Tech on Monday in their first exhibition contest of the year 4-2.
SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
Valparaiso will be playing Friday's contest as a split squad. Some of the team will compete at 10 a.m. at home against Bowling Green. Others will travel to Fort Wayne to play the Mastodons. Valpo will welcome Fort Wayne in a regular season contest on Sept. 18.
WHEN WE LAST MET
Valpo defeated Fort Wayne 2-0 last season in a regular season contest at Hefner on Oct. 18.
LOOKING BACK
The Mastodons opened the year with an exhibition victory over Indiana Tech on Monday 4-2. Romain Lopez scored twice for the 'Dons. Fort Wayne held a 22-7 edge in shots.
