Scouting the Mastodons (1-2): Fort Wayne returns to the field after last weekend's 1-2 start at Alabama A&M. Travis Upp comes off a six hit weekend, including a home run. Dylan Wilbert also had six total hits over the weekend. Brock Logan and Brandon Yoho each had a double, and Damian Helm earned a win on the mound for the 'Dons.
Scouting the Trojans (2-2): The Trojans are coming off a 6-5 11-inning win over Central Arkansas on Tuesday. Nick Perez earned the win for the Trojans and went 3-4 at the plate, including two RBIs from a first-inning home run. The offense was led by Troy Alexander who went 2-4 with one RBI and one run. Kale Emshoff went 3-for-5 with two runs scored. The Trojans opened the season with a 1-2 showing against Tennessee Tech. The Trojans lost game one 7-3 and game three 17-7 while winning the middle game 7-4.
First For Freshy: Freshman Jack Lang picked up his first career hit last weekend against Alabama A&M.
All-Time Series: Little Rock leads the all-time series 11-4. The 'Dons have played a series with the Trojans each of the last two seasons. Fort Wayne went 3-1 against the Trojans in 2016 and 0-4 last season.
