Meet Preview: Friday will be the first day of the Summit League Indoor Championships. Four Mastodons (Rebecca Sippel, Hannah Aschliman, Sophia Hirzel, and Emma Rafuse) will compete in the mile. Rafuse finished 12th in the mile in the 2017 championship stopping the clock as 5:06.22. Olivia Coleman and Savannah Girolami will return in the 400 meters. Coleman earned seventh place in the same event in last year's championship with a time of 58.33. Four more Mastodons will compete in the 200 meters (Hope Crabtree, Jala Smith, Tyra Hunt, and Ally Bailey). Fresh from setting a school record last weekend, Lexi O'Connell will also compete in the 60 meter hurdles. Senior Abbigayle Dunlavy will run in the distance medley relay along with Sophia Hirzel, Morgan Blyly, and Caitlyn Kiekhaefer. The other two seniors will compete in the triple jump (Jenna Quillen) and the shot put (Tori VanDiepenbos). These are a few of the events to watch this weekend.
