'Dons Open Summit League Indoor Championships With School Record In Hurdles

FARGO, N.D. – A school record highlighted the first day of the 2018 Summit League Indoor Track & Field Championships for the Mastodons on Friday (Feb. 23).
Lexi O'Connell, who just broke her own record in the 60 hurdles last week, broke it again on Friday with a time of 9.09. She finished in 11th.
Three additional personal records were recorded on Friday. Rebecca Sippel took 10th (10:17.84) and Hannah Aschliman were 14th (10:32.20) in the 3,000 meters. O'Connell used a time of 7.96 to take 13th in the 60 meter dash.
Morgan Blyly (11:10.46) in the 3,000 meters, Olivia Coleman in the 400 meters (58.59) and long jump (5.36 meters) as well as Ally Bailey (26.47) in the 200 meters set season best marks.
Jenna Quillen compiled 3,005 points in the pentathlon.
The Mastodons are in seventh after day one with two points. The meet will conclude on Saturday.
