Brayden Langdon Sets School Record at Indiana Tech Meet

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field had one school record set at the Strive for Greatness Invitational hosted by Indiana Tech on Saturday (Dec. 14). Freshman Brayden Langdon won the 1000m with a school record time of 3:31.05.
Langdon also competed in the 800m run with a 10th place finish and a time of 2:30.66.
Allyssa Hennessey and Miranda Haney both finished in the top five for the high jump. Hennessey finished third and Haney finished fourth, both with a mark of 1.62m. Dylan Kirkwood rounded out the high jump for the Mastodons with a sixth-place finish and a mark of 1.59m. Joani Ashley had a 10th-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.19m.
Ally Bailey, Savannah Girolami and Rachel Pierre-Louis competed against 32 runners and came out with three top-10 finishes in the 200m dash. Bailey crossed the finish line in 25.68 for fourth. Girolami ran a PR time of 25.93 for seventh while Pierre-Louis finished 10th with a time of 26.37.
Katie Clark ran her first-ever 600m run in a collegiate meet and notched fourth in 1:45.22.
The Mastodons will return to the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse on January 18th for the Mastodon Invitational. The meet will be Senior Day and Savannah Girolami and Lexi O'Connell.
