The Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field team travels to compete in the Al Owens Invitational hosted by Grand Valley State on April 20.

Where: Allendale, Michigan | GVSU Track and Field Stadium
Field: Aquinas, Calvin, Cornerstone, Davenport, Ferris State, Grace Christian, Grand Valley State, Hope, Lake Superior State, Lansing CC, Madonna, Michigan State, Michigan Tech, Muskegon CC, Northern Michigan, Northwood, Oakland, Olivet, Purdue Fort Wayne, Rochester, Roosevelt, Siena Heights and Wayne State

About The Meet: It is a two-day meet, but the 'Dons are only competing on the second day, Saturday. Ally Bailey and Rachel Pierre-Louis are competing in the 100 meter dash. Bailey and Pierre-Louis will be joined by Olivia Coleman, Lexi O'Connell, Savannah Girolami and Brittney Hartman for the 200 meter dash. Next up is the 400 meter dash with Girolami. Natalie Dye and Hannah Kroger compete in the 800 meters. Sophia Hirzel and Elana Kayser are running in the 1500 meter run. Bailie Brown and Caitlyn Kiekhaefer are in the 5000 meter run. Heading into hurdles, Lexi O'Connell and Hartman compete in the 100 meter hurdles. For field events, Emily Melchi is competing in high jump, Coleman in long jump and Hannah Jennings in shot put.
Also In Action: Emma Rafuse runs in the 5K on Thursday (April 18) at the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific. She will also compete in the 1,500 at the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, California or the Bryan Clay on Friday.
Last Week: The Mastodons were at the Ball State Challenge. Bailie Brown recorded a PR in the 5K with a time of 19:44.17. The 4x100 relay set a season best at 48.27. Emma Rafuse set a new school record in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:30.35. Elana Kayser also earned a PR in the same event with a time of 5:03.52. Brittney Hartman record a PR in the 100 hurdles with 16.98 and Lexi O'Connell recorded a PR in the 400 hurdles with 1:06.78. Ally Bailey had a PR in the 400 meters with 58.24.
Up Next: The Mastodons compete in the Gina Relays hosted by Hillsdale College April 25-27.
