Women’s Track Breaks Out In The Zoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field saw their second action of the outdoor season on Friday (April 5) in Western Michigan's Jack Shaw Classic in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Emma Rafuse was second in the 1,500 meters thanks to a time of 4:32.52. It was a personal best for Rafuse and a second off the school record.
Lexi O'Connell took fourth in the 100 hurdles in a season-best time of 14.74. She had a PR in the 400 hurdles, taking third (1:07.42).
The 'Dons had another third place performance in the long jump with Olivia Coleman (5.35 meters).
Savannah Girolami (2:21.88) and Hannah Kroger (2:32.75) earned PRs in the 800 meters.Bailie Brown took seventh in the 3K with a PR of 11:25.07. Emily Melchi recorded a PR in the high jump (1.43 meters).
Ally Bailey was fifth in the 100 meters (12.85) and the 200 meters (25.80).
The 'Dons will be back in action on Saturday, April 13 at Ball State.
